If you are like me, staying organized and on top of every area of life is oftentimes a struggle.

I struggled with the idea of having to use multiple tools that I would end up also needing to keep track of. I just wanted one tool that would be my Life Organizer

But with limited options to meet my needs, I have been using a combination of Microsoft OneNote, Excel Spreadsheets, Google Calendar to write down my ideas, affirmations, keep track of my goals, keep track of things I need to schedule, my to-do lists, and the list goes on.

While this has worked for me to an extent, it’s been a challenge and sometimes just impossible to analyze my progress and have a full picture of my habits and personal growth journey.

Before we move on, please note that this is not a sponsored post, and I’m not getting paid for this review. This is simply my honest review on a product that I think is amazing and essential.

I often thought to myself “Oh how I wish I could get a tool that allowed me to organize my life and up my productivity game, while also giving me a clear picture of my journey and progress.

I have a programming background, and I have often thought of taking the plunge and creating an app that would be the ultimate life organizer and productivity tool.

Then one precious and amazing day, by chance I came across my dream come true. An app that has most of my needs in one place.

And now I present to you

(drum roll …….)

The answer to almost all your productivity, time management, habits, goals management challenges

(more drum roll ……)

The ‘GOALS ON TRACK’ web-based system

No offence to Harry Che the creator of this amazing product, but the name does not do it justice. It is much more than a goal tracking system, it is rich with so many amazing features. I will go into more details shortly, but here are some of the things you can do with this ‘ultimate Life Organizer’

  • Set and track your goals and sub goals
  • Keep a goal journal
  • Manage tasks (with a timer)
  • Track your habits
  • Create a vision board

Goals On Track simplifies the process for you to stay organized, motivated, and committed to achieve your goals and fulfill your dreams.

I’ll briefly speak to 8 of the features I personally like the most. You can head over to the Goals On Track website for more details and to sign up.

1. Thoughtfully set SMART goals with Multi-level subgoals

The tool provides guidance in creating your SMART goals, (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound). It prompts you to think of your reasons and exactly what you want to achieve and when, and it allows you to record the details.

It also allows for multi-level sub-goals which makes it easier to break down long term goals into multiple short-term goals, so you are able to visualize the road map to your destination.

It allows for a lot of details like the vision you have for the goal you are setting, the purpose, anticipated obstacles and resources you will need/utilize to achieve the goals.

What this does for me is that it allows me to put more thought into the goal setting exercise, which helps me to be more invested emotionally and hence easier to stay committed and motivated.

You can also provide the metrics you want to use to track your progress.

Talking about goals, I like this Tony Robbins article on Setting Compelling Goals

2. Automated Habit Tracker

I mentioned in my post 20 Personal Development Ideas that personal development is consciously and intentionally forming new habits that allow you to continue to evolve into the person you want to be.

Goals on Track (aka The Ultimate Life Organizer)  allows you to create an unlimited number of habits to track on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

You can track your progress and it analyzes how frequently you repeat the habit and uses the information to automatically show you the habits that you have formed.

You can also put your habits into categories and link them to the goals that you have created.

3. Record your ‘Dreams / Someday’

I really like this feature. Scratch that, I LOVE this feature.

You can record ideas and dreams that you have for the future but may not be ready to start working on yet.

This way, your dreams and Ideas are recorded and reduces the risk of forgetting about them.

Best of all, when you are ready to actively work on those dreams, all you have to do is click a button and an active goal is created from your dream/someday entry.

4. A journal to record your progress and thoughts

I love journaling. I call it dreaming on paper.

Writing down your thoughts frees up your mind to dream more. Goals on Track has a journal section where you can record your progress and your thoughts related to the goals and habits you are working on or anything else.

In addition, you can also link a journal post to a specific goal and bookmark your entries for easy access. Your entries can be viewed by month and year.

5. Time Tracking

Goals on Track comes with a timer that allows you to track the time you spend on each of your tasks. You can also pause or switch between task timers.

I think this is a really neat tool, because you become more mindful of how you spend your day, because you can see how much time you have spent on each task, and also the total amount of time you have spent on all your tasks.

I have been reading up on the Pomodoro Technique which in a nutshell is breaking down your tasks into short timed intervals that are spaced out by short breaks. This tool can definitely be used to practice the technique.

You can read more on the Pomodoro Technique on Lifehack

6. Ready Made Templates

I also really like this feature. I am a firm believer in not reinventing the wheel.

Goals On Track comes with ready made templates that you can use to jumpstart your ideas and goal setting tasks.

The templates have some common goals that people have. You can edit the templates to suit your needs and then create your own goal from it. You can also create yours from scratch if you want to do that.

7. The Dashboard

From the dashboard, you get to see at a glance the goals you are working towards and the progress you’ve made shown as a percentage. You also get to see the tasks for the day, and how much time you’ve spent on each and also the habits you are working on.

It has a drag and drop feature to order the items as you wish.

8. The Report

You can review your progress with the reports on Goals On Track. The overview shows you

    • The number of goals accomplished
    • The number of tasks completed
    • The number of habits checked
    • Total time tracked

This view can be set to show you your monthly, weekly, or daily information.

There are more features than the ones I have mentioned. All in all, I like this tool a lot and it shows that a lot of thought went into creating it, which is why it’s so robust that I consider it a Life Organizer.

As at the time of this writing, the price to sign up is a $68USD per year, which you pay one time, and works out to a little over $5USD per month. With all the features and extras available, I’d say it’s a sweet deal.

The great thing is there is a 30-day money back guarantee which means you can try it out risk-free and decide if it’s for you or not. Although I’m quite sure you will love it.

You can learn more about what it can do for you and sign up here. If you give it a try, please come back and leave a comment to let me know your thoughts.
