Reading Is Key

Reading is key to growing and evolving as a person. It expands your mind and widens your horizon. It helps you to see more of what can be, and believe more, that what you see, you can become.

Expand Your World By Reading

No one can succeed as an Island, and no one has all the time in the world, to learn everything from scratch. In this day and age, we have the advantage to be able to learn from the successes and mistakes of others without ever meeting them, or without having to travel thousands of miles. You can read about the past, about things that happened thousands of miles away from you without leaving your house.

You get to experience places, people, cultures and things beyond yourself. It is liberating, it is freeing.

Keep Your Imagination Alive By Reading

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.
– Albert Einstein

The more we read, the more we stimulate and release our imagination. We are able to step into a world possibly different from our reality, and engage our brains in imagining what living in that world will look like. Exercising our minds and brains in this way helps us to be more creative, and active participants in the outcome of our lives. I like this article from Literacy Works on how reading benefits us.

Commit to Reading

Reading is easier to engage in now with the advancement in technology. You can order paper books online, you can read ebooks on your phone, tablets, computer etc.

You do not have to start big, you just commit to few minutes a day of reading, and grow from there.
